Star Nest

Toadstool Gleaner

Fungi Crofter

Fungi Crofters are Caeli who have the wealth to afford underground land to create fungi farms. They cultivate various types of bioluminescent fungi that can be used for both food and medicine and are usually highly sought after by foreigners. Their farms aren’t as easily accessible to citizens as regular farms but those who have the pleasure of seeing them will never forget the sight of the beautiful glowing hills.

Civilian

Citizens of Star Nest live peacefully amongst one another.

Shroom Cultivator

Tender

Farmers grow and prepare food for the nest. It is a difficult job under the low light of the nest and most tend to build their farms on the outside of the hills. It’s extremely taxing as the silt soil of the mountain makes it hard for crops to grow but many farmers have perfected their craft with the most skilled ones being able to grow Red Chokeberries. Although taxing, it’s a highly rewarding job.

Traders travel to the other nests and sell their precious ores, gold and coal for high prices to individual merchants. They also fly to other nests and buy the foreign materials Star Nest needs to then sell the materials to Star Nest merchants.

Builder

Builders are a tough bunch, constantly maintaining the nest and upgrading areas for expansion. The Star Nest expands at a steady rate, in no small part due to the builder workforce that is employed directly by the Queen’s orders and from her pocket.

Digger

Miners always seem to be in short supply as they are required to dig deep into caeli-made mines for ore, coal and precious gems. This industry is what fuels the majority of the nest’s economy and encourages scientific progress. Miners are used to working relentlessly in tough conditions, in order to find the next vein of gold or shelf of coal.

Forgemaster

Fire bringers gather lava from deep inside the mountain and fill the large vats to be processed in the mines. The furnace keepers are workers who control this process of making sure raw goods such as lava and ore become previous materials during smelting. They each oversee several furnaces with a different material order every day.

Lighthouse Keeper

A mostly solitary life, only rewarded by stunning ocean views and a place to stay. The lighthouse keeper is hired by the Star Queen to oversee ships travelling to and from the harbour and is very strict about the reports which must be submitted to her.
